Event description

Description

If you work in the ER on a full time, part time or casual basis and find yourself called upon to treat the sickest of patients at a moment's notice, then this conference is for you! Join Directors Dennis Djogovic and Matt Inwood on October 4-6, 2019, and the University of Alberta, Department of Critical Care Medicine, as they present a weekend of medical education with a healthy dose of mountain air! The rapid fire lectures with heavy "real life" clinical emphasis make for an enjoyable and entertaining learning experience.

The majestic Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge welcomes our conference for another successful weekend, with the right balance of work and play. The JPL has extended a block of reduced room rates (until September 4th) for conference attendees, please call 1-800-441-1414 to reserve your room. Don't delay!

We are VERY excited to bring you a group of dynamic, practical, engaging speakers to stimulate your medical minds. Dr Sandy Widder (Surgeon, Intensivist, Trauma Director University of Alberta Hospital), Dr John Froh (Emergency Physician, Saskatoon), Dr Peter Brindley (Neurointensivist, University of Alberta), Dr Janek Senaratne (Cardiologist, Intensivist, University of Alberta Hospital), Sargeant Polegi (RCMP K Division), Dr Brian Buchanan (Intensivist, Ultrasound Whisperer, University of Alberta), Dr Matthew Inwood (University of Alberta ED, Trauma Team Leader, STARS Director Grande Prairie), and Dr Dennis Djogovic (University of Alberta ED, Trauma Team Leader, Intensivist) are determined to make your weekend memorable.
