"Crossing Over: An Interdisciplinary Conference on Death and Morbidity" is the 2017 title for the Humanities Graduate Student Association's next conference, taking place on Friday, February 17 from 8am - 5pm and Saturday, February 18 from 8am to 5pm! This academic conference welcomes all levels of graduate students to submit their papers to present at an interdisciplinary setting exploring ideas of "death". Tickets for the event are for both dates: Friday February 17 and Saturday February 18, 2017. You need to only purchase one ticket for admission on both days, which includes:
- Discount parking pass for those driving in;
- Breakfast, Lunch, Coffee/Tea and snacks on Friday and Saturday
- complimentary WiFi access
- and free access to the Friday lunch Keynote
- all tickets purchased will automatically be entered in various contests and prizes throughout the two days (for a full list, please see "Raffles and Prizes" on our website)
Please note that the registration for the Saturday Keynote Dinner will be a separate fee and separate event. The executive team is also working on additional inclusions to the registration package, all of which will be announced upon confirmation.
Tickets are limited due to room size, so purchase early!
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
No, there are no age limits or restrictions. Any one can attend the conference.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Parking is available at the Holiday Inn Toronto-Yorkdale on site, at a discounted price for registered attendees, at approximately $12/day. Drivers take a ticket and pay once they leave at the convenience store off the lobby.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Yes, please bring your printed ticket to the event. We will scan you in to monitor attendence this way. However, if you wish to provide someone else with your ticket, please transfer the ticket into their name.
