Welcome Law Enforcement and Banking Compliance professionals,

The purpose of the course is to provide fundamental industry knowledge of technologies including Bitcoin, Blockchains, and Cryptocurrencies, how transactions work, mining, business models, regulations and best practices for agencies to follow. These concepts will be paired with relevant tools, resources and processes to follow for accomplishing respective job duties. This includes tracking a transaction, writing a SAR(Suspicious Activity Report) and the information necessary for police reports regarding theft or fraud.

Attendees will understand tools and information such as:

  • Public/Private Keys
  • Block explorers
  • Transaction data

Also gain knowledge of how to accurately investigate or report:

Your presenters, Chris Groshong, President of CoinStructive, along with Joe Ciccolo, President of BitAML, have have been working in conjunction with the California Financial Crimes Investigators Association (CFCIA), a mix of local banking compliance professionals and law enforcement, to close the knowledge gap around cryptocurrency and blockchain technologies as they relate to fraud and criminal activities. At the request of the President and other members of the CFCIA, we created a comprehensive program to increase adoption of regulatory measures and consensus across banking and law enforcement. Therefore, the course is offered to both law enforcement and banking compliance professionals, simultaneously.
