FAQs
What exactly is a LAN Party?
A LAN Party is an event where gamers of all types - PC, Xbox, Wii, Playstation - get together to play games, drink, and eat snacks. It's an awesome opportunity to get to know other people in the program and hang out outside of school hours.
I'm not a big gamer, is this still for me?
YES. We will have more leisure games set up for anyone who is not a hardcode gamer. Mario Kart and other fun games will be available. Board games are also welcome. This is a social event, not a hardcore event. A set of people will be just hanging out to talk with and meet.
Do I have to show up for the whole time?
No, you may come and go as you please. Some people prefer to stay quite late, and others only hang around for a few hours. The venue and event will be open as late as people want to keep playing!
Do I have to show up right at 5pm?
No, you may come and go as you please. 5-7pm will be a board-game only period for people who like to play board games and to give time for everyone to get setup. You may show up whenever fits your schedule.
Where should I park?
There will be a unloading area right outside the door. You may park your car there to unload any equipment you have, and afterwards move your car to a parking location. Parking is available in the immediate area.
Who is this open to?
Everyone, not just CSC Club Members. Bring your friends!
Can I bring game X or gaming system Y?
Absolutely! We will have designated games so that everyone can play together on the same game if they'd like, but you're more than welcome to bring anything you want. Alternatives, such as board games and Wii games, will be available.
