New pharmacotherapies for heart failure and stroke prevention in atrial fibrillation have recently been approved by Health Canada. This presentation will focus on ivabradine, sacubitril/valsartan, and edoxaban and clinical considerations when utilizing these agents.

Using a case scenario, the presenting pharmacist and physician will explore the current challanges and opportunities in BC, including outlining the approach and the tools from the BC Shared Care Polypharmacy Risk Reduction initiative.
