6:15 to 6:45 PM: Update on HIV Antiretrovirals - Some New Kids on the Block

In recent years HIV treatment has seen the introduction of some newer antiretrovirals and some shifts in treatment approach. This presentation will provide a basic introduction to some of these newer agents and briefly discuss their place in therapy.

This presentation will focus on updates in the medical management of ischemic stroke, focusing on the latest research in antithrombotic therapy.

This year, for the first time ever at a CSHP-BC event, we are taking a panel approach to our top trials talk. We have invited specialists in the fields of internal medicine, nephrology and psychiatry to each present one recently-published, thought-provoking trial.

Learning Objectives:

1. To expose attendees to clinical topics/controversies in pharmacy practice.

2. To improve knowledge of various areas of pharmacy practice.

3. To keep up-to-date in the following areas: treatment of HIV, ischemic stroke, nephrology, psychiatry, and cancer-associated venous thromboembolism.

This event will be reviewed for accreditation by the CSHP-BC Branch, a CCCEP-approved accredited provider, for 2 CEUs.

Registration: Registration should be completed online. You will be e-mailed a link to access the live stream one day prior to the event. Please note there is a limited capacity of 500 participants.
