If you are a graduate or current student (R.H.N. or Student ID number required), we are excited to be offering the opportunity for you to take Introduction to the Practical Use of Herbs!

NN115 Introduction to the Practical Use of Herbs | 14 hours | $310.00+Fees

This general interest course is designed to (1) introduce the therapeutic use of plant medicine; (2) discuss common local medicinal and kitchen, culinary herbs for common health issues, and how herbal medicine can be considered preventative medicine; (3) learn about harvesting, and herbal medicine-making techniques, and the importance of sustainable practices for the health of our planet; (4) explain how to prepare teas and some topical applications for common use.

Please note that the required textbook, The Good Living Guide to Natural and Herbal Remedies, by Katolen Yardley, is not included in the above price and that students are responsible to acquire the textbook either through the school or externally prior to the course start date.

Course Dates:

Class 1 - Wed, Jul 22 (6:30-10pm)

Class 2 - Sat, Jul 25 (9:30am-1pm)

Class 3 - Wed, Jul 29 (6:30-10pm)

Class 4 - Sat, Aug 1 (9:30am-1pm)

Refund policy: Courses are fully refundable minus a $50+GST Admin Fee if requested 30+ days prior to the course start date. If requested between 7-30 days prior to the course start date, courses are 50% refundable. No refunds if requested within 7 days of the course start date.
