CSTC Referral Officer Training Program - Prince George, May 29-June 2, 2017

The Carrier Sekani Tribal Council (CSTC) has developed a First Nations Referrals Officer Training Program (ROTP) that focuses on assisting First Nations in building internal capacity to managing referrals and consultation regarding natural resource management projects.

This 5-day program covers why and how to manage referrals and consultation in First Nations communities. Students will leave with an improved understanding of the legal duties and obligations of governments, proponents and First Nations; office and information management; natural resource management 101; communication and analytical skills; basic mapping skills; and decision-making processes.
