This Professional Development Session can be applicable to all prospective teachers, ECE, Elementary and Secondary. It will focus on the variety of effective ways teachers and can communicate with parents and families, ensuring that all involved, students, parents, school staff and all other people that play an integral role in the child’s education, feel supported and valued.
Cynthia’s work has been focusing on the areas of research initiatives for faculty, schools and the community and she is currently the Director of Partner Research Schools and the Director of Student Experiences in the Werklund School of Education at the University of Calgary. Her area of Specialization is in Early Childhood Education (BEd, MEd) and she is recognized as an expert in this area. She has taught grades K-3 in both private and public schools as well as she has taught a variety of courses within the Werklund School of Education. Most recently she was awarded the Provincial Early Childhood Education Provincial Achievement Award and she has received her certification in Triple P Parenting.
