Cultural Inteligence: Building Effective Relationships Across Diverse Cultures
In North America today, globalization has changed the face of our social structures. We see people from every culture represented in our communities and churches. Further, our traditional cultural education seems to be lacking in it’s ability to educate us to effectively serve this changing world. At this event, Dr. Bradley D. Friesen will bring to us the concept of Cultural Intelligence and show us how it can enable us to effectively navigate these situations.
Speaker: Dr. Bradley D. Friesen has been in pastoral ministry for 21 years. He is currently the Pastor of Global Ministries at Centre St. Church in Calgary, Canada. He holds his Doctorate of Ministry from Bethel Seminary in St. Paul Minnesota in Global and Contextual Leadership and is currently involved in creating Canada wide strategies against sexual exploitation and international impact through globalization at the University level. Brad is an award-winning author and researcher studying “Intrinsic Motivation in Identity Development” and is the creator and founder of The School of Identity, helping people understand their identity in Christ. Brad is an certified speaker and teacher from the Centre for Cultural Intelligence in Michigan U.S.A., and is passionate about helping people understand their cultural biases in order to help them become exceedingly effective cross culturally.
