Event description
“…lyrical and haunting, with a depth of feeling – sometimes raw and palpably authentic – you don’t find so often.” [Penguin Eggs]

About this event

The husband/wife duo of Peter Stone (vocals, guitar) and Denise MacKay (vocals, guitar), along with multi-instrumentalist Scott Zubot, make up the Edmonton-based folk trio 100 Mile House.‍

The band is born of two continents. After Denise and Peter met in Toronto, the couple lived together in Edmonton for a year, moved to London (where Stone is from) for four, and eventually returned to Alberta’s capital where they connected with Zubot. Their distinctive sound borrows of bit from both sides of the Atlantic, both the cosmopolitan and from the prairie, featuring insightful and evocative lyrics, beautiful harmonies, and great arrangements.

Bring your own chair. The concert is outside, on the east lawn of St. Andrew's United Church. Social distancing will be in effect. No admission fee. Donations received at the gate.
