It also includes R&D related to the light-weighting of transit vehicles and component parts, data analytics for operational cost reductions, software controls, advanced signalling systems, autonomous and driverless systems, consumer applications, and made-to-purpose specialized transit products and services.
The national champions leading this initiative include the Canadian Urban Transit Association (CUTA), Metrolinx, Thales, BC Transit, Brampton Transit, and the Agence métropolitaine de transport (AMT).
Led by Executive Director & CEO, Dr. Josipa Petrunic, the Quebec Regional Consultation & Roundtable on Sept. 3rd is dedicated to mapping the transportation innovation landscape in Quebec specifically with regards to advanced transit transportation solutions.
