Description

What happens when the government devalues arts education? Who is affected? Why should we care? Join us for an interactive live performance - integrating art, music, sound video and a few surprises - with reporter Ashley Fraser. Cutting Class is the result of a year-long investigation into the role of arts education in public high schools in Toronto. This piece asks key questions about the accessibility of arts education inside and out of the classroom in the midst of significant funding cuts impacting Ontario's education system.

Hello all, Ashley here, I am writing today to let you know that — in light of a university-wide decision to cancel all scheduled events in response to the COVID-19 pandemic — my live journalism thesis performance is also postponed. Thanks for all your support for this event! We plan to share a new date with you once things are safer for our community. Stay tuned for a follow up email once we have a clearer picture. And stay safe.

Thank you.
