Event description
The Committee for Workers' Capital (CWC) is pleased to invite you to its annual conference, this year hosted online from Nov 16-19, 2020.

About this event

The 2020 Worker’s Capital Conference will be held virtually from November 16-19th, 2020. The conference is the annual gathering of global trade unions and worker nominated pension fund trustees. It is organized by the Global Unions Committee on Workers’ Capital (CWC), a joint initiative of the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC), the Trade Union Advisory Committee to the OECD (TUAC) and the Global Unions Federation (GUFs).

This year, the theme of the conference is "The Road Ahead" and the event will provide a collaborative space to share perspectives on raising the "S" in ESG during the COVID-19 pandemic. The sessions include:

  • Session 1 (Nov 16th, 17:00 CET): How do asset managers view and incorporate worker-backed evidence in public equities?
  • Session 2 (Nov 17th, 17:00 EST): Racial justice and the stewardship of workers' capital
  • Session 3 (Nov 18th, 18:00 Australian EST): Tools and examples to hold asset managers accountable
  • Keynote Address (Nov 18th, 11:00 Eastern Standard Time): Leo E. Strine, Jr. on building a more inclusive capitalism for workers
  • Session 4 (Nov 19th, 17:00 CET): An interactive brainstorming session on CWC 2020-2021 priorities

In addition, the conference will also feature three "Campaign Spotlights", an interactive space where CWC participants will showcase a priority initiative from their union.

Important: Registration is open to participants who are affiliated to a trade union. Registration from non-trade union participants will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
