To enroll in this training you need to have successfully completed CWICE 101 , 102 & 103.
The Child Welfare Immigration Centre of Excellence (CWICE) has developed a knowledge base training surrounding the intersection of child welfare practice and unresolved immigration, settlement, and border-related issues. This certificate-training series has been designed for child welfare professionals to bring awareness, build knowledge capacity in practice, and promote equitable outcomes for children, youth, and families.
CWICE 104 focuses on permanent residence applications based on Humanitarian and Compassionate grounds. This knowledge-based learning will support the growth and continued development of child welfare practice. This one day (or two half day) session(s) will foster an understanding of permanent residence applications on H&C grounds, the process and complicating factors that impact permanency in child welfare, and applying learned concepts through case study exploration. Once you have completed this training, you will be able to enroll in CWICE 105.
This is a two-part virtual session.
