Event description

Description

Bike Edmonton's Cycling in the City briefly covers safety, bicycle equipment and maintenance, route-finding, and on-road riding techniques. This information session is free and open to everyone. Please share with anyone you think is interested in coming. The Bike Edmonton project coordinator, Molly Turnbull, will offer lots of information and tips that can help you meet your city bike riding goals. The presentation is 45 minutes, followed by 15 minutes for discussion. Bring your bike because afterward, we'll head out on a little ride to show you a few good routes in your neighbourhood and offer you some on road riding tips. This ride is geared toward adults, but could be suitable for kids in tow or who are 8 years and older, if you think that they will be willing and able to ride for an hour with breaks. We'll take an easy pace so that you can participate even if you haven't cycled much this summer. We're riding, rain or shine!
