ROOTED contemporary dance (Wakefield,QC) was created in 2015 by local dance artist Jordan Samonas. Her most recent stage works and productions include Dark Horse Dance Projects (Ottawa, 2019) UPROAR Arts Festival (Ottawa, 2019), Ottawa JazzFest (2018), SeriesDance10 (Ottawa, 2018) North of Mind with Don Ross (Ottawa 2018). Jordan is set to perform at Ottawa Fringe Festival (June 2020) Halifax Fringe Festival (September 2020). Jordan created ROOTED out of the urge to share her work and the work of other local dance creatives in the community. In 2020, Rooted is now a platform for dance artists in Wakefield and in Ottawa to share their work. ROOTED aims to provide a refreshing, unique and intimate experience for its loyal fans and audience members.
