Dianne was recently diagnosed with a rare disease called Niemann-Picks Type C. Niemann-Picks is a very rare genetic disorder that causes an inability to transport cholesterol and lipids inside of cells. This causes damage to the affected tissues including areas of the brain. Side effects of the disease include mobility impairment and cognitive delays which cause difficulty for patients to lead normal functioning lives. For more information on Niemann-Picks please visit: http://rarediseases.org/rare-diseases/niemann-pick-disease-type-c/
It was a long and difficult journey to the diagnosis and Dianne and her family know there are many journeys still to take to fight this head on but she’s still a young 59 and has a lot of good living left to do! So it is our hope to raise some funds and help alleviate the financial stress that comes with living with a disease and being unable to work, and give her the freedom to focus on her health and wellbeing.
Through this 8+ year battle, Leah, her daughter, has been by her mom’s side and it’s never easy seeing a loved one go through this nor is it easy to ask for help – I invite you to watch this so you can see how this has affected them first hand: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5B8qQlsBjVg&feature=youtu.be
We are already overwhelmed by the support we are receiving. We appreciate your love and support on this journey and the ones to come. If there ever comes a time when your generosity needs reciprocation, please do not hesitate to ask. We are all in this together.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!
