About this event
During your visit you’ll have time to explore the exhibits in our Cosmic Courtyard gallery, watch a show in the Planetarium Star Theatre and our take in a live science demonstration in our GroundStation Canada theatre. Shows in the planetarium will change throughout the day - see details below.
**If you are interested in coming to only see a show in the Planetarium Star Theatre book tickets for the 3:30 time slot.**
Our programming is recommended for families with children ages 8+. Children must be accompanied by adults. One ticket must be purchased for each member of your group.
Tickets for children ages 3 and under, who do not need their own seat in our theatres, are available at no cost.

- 11:05am: Planetarium Show: Birth of Planet Earth* - Birth of Planet Earth tells the twisted tale of our planet’s origins. Scientists now believe that our galaxy is filled with solar systems, including up to a billion planets roughly the size of our own. The film explores some of the greatest questions in science today: How did Earth become a living planet in the wake of our solar system’s violent birth? What does its history tell us about our chances of finding other worlds that are truly Earth-like?

- 11:15am: Cosmic Courtyard Gallery and Groundstation Demonstration
- 12:20pm: Surfing the Solar System* - See the solar system as you’ve never seen it before – leave Earth behind to tour some of the most intriguing destinations in our solar system and find out more about some of the latest discoveries about our neighbouring planets.

- 1:35pm: Planetarium Show: Unveiling the Invisible Universe* - There is more to the universe that we can see with our eyes. Discover more about how scientists, from Galileo’s first use of an optical telescope to today’s scientists measuring minute ripples in spacetime, unveil the invisible universe.

REGISTRATION
Select your desired time slot and purchase a ticket for each member of your party.
Tickets are $18 (plus taxes and fees) per person in your group, or $12 (plus taxes and fees) for Planetarium Star Theatre shows at 3:30pm. We are not accepting Access 2 cards any longer. Gift cards can be redeemed in-person only. We are unable to process gift cards for online tickets sales.
PLEASE NOTE: Eventbrite online ticket sales end at 8:45 a.m. for that day's programming. If you would like to book a same day visit after online ticket sales have closed additional tickets may be available at the front desk.
VISITING US
As of May 21st masking is optional at our facility, and we will not require proof of vaccination for entry. We continue to recommend masks and will have masks available to guests who wish to wear one but do not have their own masks.
