About this Event
DBSL presents you The Upper Hand's Dragon Ball Super Card Game (DBSCG) National Tournament.
This a free to enter league with visa gift card prizing for the top 32 competitors. This event will take place on January 30th, 2021 and January 31st, 2021 on discord and players will be competing using a webcam and physical cards. Start time for both days are 12:00pm EST and players are asked to check-in by 11:30am EST.

This is a 2 day constructed, group stage followed by single elimination playoffs event.
January 30th - Day 1 will be bo3 Group staging, 192 competitors will be placed in 32 groups (6 players per group maximum). Each player will play a maximum of 5 games in group staging. The top player of each group will move forward to the playoffs.
January 31st - Day 2 will be bo3 single elimination playoff.
Time allocation for each match except the championship game will be 60 minutes and 10 minutes to resolve 3 additional turns. After the 3rd turn, the game is regarded as a tie regardless of the amount of life left.
Deck list with side deck must be submitted 24 hours before start time on January 30th via Google Form Link.

Prize:
The champion will walk away with a minimum of $175 Visa Gift Card, Draft Box 6, and a Trophy.
Detailed prizing breakdown for the top 32 will be released after crowdfunding is completed.

Requirements:
- Laptop or PC
- Webcam (720p recommended)
- Microphone (headset works best)
- Dedicated Playing Space (for showing cards to your opponent)

Set Up:
1. Groups, pairings, tables to play in will be posted at 11am EST on January 30th.
2. Dedicated playing space is where your cards will be displayed for your opponent.
3. Webcam position must show full playing area.
4. When you join a table to begin your match, please ensure your video is enabled by pressing the “Video” button on the bottom left.
5. Ensure your microphone and headphones are working.
6. Start your game once told to.
7. Once the game is ended, the winner is to report the result. The opponent is to confirm the result with a thumbs up to the report.

IMPORTANT:
1. Make sure that players are clearly communicating actively on cards that they are not familiar with.
2. All cards in your hand must have their backside visible to webcam at all times. If any time you need to move your hand away from the webcam view, place your active hand of cards onto the playing field facedown.
3. Anytime you have to shuffle your deck, ask your opponent on how they would like the deck cut.
4. Double check all plays, and do not hesitate to ask questions.
5. Clock will not be stopped or extended for any judge questions or delays in a game. Extra time has been added to the tournament clock to ensure enough time is available to play.
