Description

The Durham Catholic Parent Involvement Committee invites you to join us for our Mental Health and Well Being Conference!

Keynote Speaker: Dr. Patrick Carney - "Supporting Children's Mental Health with the 3 R's - Relationships, Responsibility and Resiliency

Dr. Pat Carney will outline predominant mental health concerns for Elementary and Secondary students today-these include, but are not limited to: anxiety, mood and various forms of addiction. In addition to a review of the supports available to students who have developed mental health concerns already, Dr. Carney will also discuss proactive approaches for families and educators. The goal for the school community is to teach emotional self-awareness and self-regulation skills that students can use to be healthy and resilient against the mental health challenges we all face.
