Death Cafes offer people, often strangers, a safe space to gather and discuss death, dying and grief without agendas or objectives. Death Cafes are offered as not for profit, accessible, respectful and confidential space with no intention of leading people to any conclusion, product or course of action.

The Death Cafe model was developed by Jon Underwood and Sue Barsky Reid, based on the ideas of Bernard Crettaz.

These virtual Death Cafes are facilitated by members of the Death Doula Ontario Network.
