Serious illness, aging and death bring many losses. We lose health, ability, relationships, dreams of the future, and more. At each stage in the process, healing rituals can help us honor the spiritual significance of what’s happening, mourn what’s leaving, make space for what’s coming, and connect more deeply with each other.
This workshop will address the skills needed to design and facilitate personally appropriate and meaningful rituals for groups of approximately 5-30 people. These practices are valuable for social workers, chaplains and clergy, emerging and practicing death midwives, as well as family and community members.
Join death midwife Sarah Kerr, and learn the ritual skills to help dying people and their families find healing, before, during, and after a death.
