Opening Remarks & Presentation: 6:00-7:30 PM

December 6, is the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence against Women in Canada. Established in 1991 by the Parliament of Canada, this day marks the anniversary of the murders in 1989 of 14 young women at l'École Polytechnique de Montréal, who were killed because they were women. Unfortunately over 30 years later, the effects of this tragedy are still felt, and gender-based violence continues to be an issue.

Join us as we commemorate Dec. 6th and reflect on the women who have been murdered in 2022, all due to gender-based violence.

What can we do as a community to end violence against women and stop the murders of women and young girls? We hope you will join us in being a partner for change. 💜
