Wednesday, November 6, 2019
Toronto, ON
Goodmans LLP and the Association of Corporate Counsel Ontario Chapter are pleased to invite you to an informative and interactive seminar on the Artificial Intelligence landscape, which will be held at the Goodmans Toronto offices.
Many Canadian companies are in the midst of an accelerating effort to implement modern artificial intelligence into their businesses or leverage their own data sets using deep learning technologies. This session will arm in-house counsel with both an understanding of the application of these important new technologies and the associated legal issues.
Our featured speakers lineup for this event will be:
- Peter Ruby, Partner, Goodmans LLP
- Ben Hackett, Partner, Goodmans LLP
- Cameron Schuler, Chief Commercialization Officer and VP, Industry Innovation, Vector Institute
- Nagendra Krishnamurthy, Head of Legal Canada, Tata Consultancy Services Canada Inc.
This session will be eligible toward 1.5 Substantive Hours of the Law Society of Ontario's annual CPD requirement.
This event is open and free of charge to in-house counsel but you must RSVP to attend. Please RSVP by no later than Tuesday, November 5, 2019.
ACC Ontario reserves the right to review all registrations for eligibility. In-house counsel must be ACC members or meet ACC membership eligibility. Please click here for further details.

ACC ONTARIO CHAPTER NO SHOW WITHOUT NOTICE POLICY
Please note that although we strive to keep ACC Ontario Chapter educational and social events generally free of charge to in-house counsel, when in-house counsel register for an event and then do not attend without notice, it hinders the ability of the Chapter and our sponsors to plan and may result in a waste of food or other resources. Please try to attend events for which you have registered and to provide reasonable advance notice if you know you will be unable to attend. The Chapter has instituted a two strike, no show without notice policy. If a person is twice unable to provide the Chapter with 24 hours’ notice of cancellation for a free event for which he or she registered, a $25 fee will be required upon registering for the next event that is free to other in-house counsel. Upon payment of the $25 fee, the initial two strikes will be reset to zero and this policy will continue to apply. We thank you for your consideration and cooperation.
