Deep Night: A Journey of Hope
Event Information
About this Event
Scattered leaves and shorter days. We are in the dying season. Yet deep in the ground are stirrings of life.
The first season of the church calendar begins in the darkest of days. Advent, the four weeks before Christmas, invites us to stand in reality - the reality of brokenness in our lives and in the world. It is a season marked by the practice of lament. To lament is to remember, to cry out, to confess, to repent - with the hope of God’s redemption and restoration. We await the One who will share in our human condition - One able to usher in wholeness, a new creation.
As the Body of this One himself, we do not wait alone.
Join us at Tapestry Richmond as we open this Advent season with a sacred service of lament and hope.
We also have devotional materials for the month of December that can be picked up directly at the church. If you would like to get a hold of a digital copy please e-mail lucinda@thetapestry.ca.
