Event description

Description

This presentation has a wide scope to engage various levels of RIM and IT practitioners.

Morning Session ($60 non-member/$55 member*)

Part I from 9:00 – 10:30 addresses the partnership between RIM and IT for technology lifecycle management. RIM skills will be woven into the IT landscape to establish mutual credentials for joint responsibility in managing technology. Respectful boundaries between the disciplines will be described. Helpful diagrams will be shared for your subsequent use in your business setting.

Part II, commencing at 10:45 – 12:00 will focus on the continuous wrangle to apply retention rules to digital records. It is the defensible creed of the presenters that retention rules can be applied in any digital setting – creatively. This discussion will no doubt provoke stimulating fodder for your DIY IM 2018 strategies.

Afternoon Session ($30 non-member/$25 member*)

Part III 1:00 – 3:00 PM This interactive session is intended for anyone who has a retention schedule or wants to participate in creating a retention schedule foundation. Together, we will cover retention schedule design, researching and populating a starter-kit retention schedule, partners in its content, why an approval process is important, and how a retention schedule can be re-purposed. A retention schedule – it’s a dynamic tool.
