Deputation Training: Building Strong Community Voice at City Hall

TDIN is teaming up with TTCriders/Fair Fare Coalition to build a strong drop in community voice in the City Budget process. Lots is at stake given the zero budget increase limits imposed on the process – for affordable public transit, improved funding for drop ins and the new positions for drop in sector proposed by SSHA is just some of what is at stake.

One immediate opportunity (of many to come) for drop in participants and staff to be active in the advocacy is our joint deputation training on January 30th from 2 – 4. Learn from community members who have done deputations, think through what makes deputations safe and productive for deputants, craft your own story and contribute to broad organizing efforts to win critical community supports and services.
