Designing & Building a Winery
Event Information
About this Event
Increasingly, award-winning architecture is bringing excitement to the business of wineries and new wine regions around the globe. Winery owners and winemakers are discovering that unique architectural expression helps build their brand and attract visitors by allowing for new spatial experiences and services such as tours, dining, sales and cultural events. Exceptional design can even facilitate the technical requirements to refine and improve the winemaking process.
‘Designing & Building a Winery’ brings together an international panel of leading architects and winery experts to discuss the considerations, process and benefits of growing both your winery facilities and brand through architecture. Moderated by architecture journalist Catherine Osborne, the panel includes Chybik+Kristof, designers of Lahofer Winery in the Czech Republic, which has been widely written about in the international press and has received over 300 million social media hits. Principals Ondrej Chybik and Michal Kristof will be joined by Svetlana Atcheva, Brand Ambassador of Pearl Morrisette, in Jordan, Ontario alongside Magdalena Kaiser, Director of Public Relations - Marketing & Tourism at the Wine Marketing Association of Ontario. Together, they will discuss the journey of designing statement-making wineries and the future of wineries as destinations in a post-pandemic world.
This workshop is free and open to winery owners, the wine industry and those curious about the process.
