Founded in Caracas, Venezuela in 1985, Desorden Público is the first and most important ska project and one of the largest-pop bands of contemporary musical history of venezuela, besides being one of the strongest proposals of latin ska.
Its founders Horacio Blanco and Jose Luis "Caplís" Chacin started their careers as DJ's in the Caracas underground. The name of the band satirized the trucks of Public Order of the Venezuelan National Guard. As DJ's Horacio and Caplís specializing in British ska punk, new wave and reggae Jamaican: all these sounds will be direct influence on the first novel repertoire.
Shortly later, the incorporation of other musicians, including Danel "Dan-Lee" Sarmiento and Oscar "Oscarello The Magnificent" Alcaíno will give Desorden Público its sonic, graphic and image personality: a stamp that will make them famous in theaters, bars and punk and underground parties.
After a contractual offer presented by a scout from CBS Columbia Venezuela, they recorded their first album in 1988. A simple and raw sound, and a direct lyrics full of political criticism and black humor the made them reached an impressive sales levels and an important distribution inside and outside the new wave scene of the late eighties. With this album, self-titled national tours started and a first international visit to the Dominican Republic.
Desorden Público, has performed in the most important Venezuelan and international stages during their 30 years of career; including important presentations in Venezuela like the 1st Latin American Festival of Rock 1991, Caracas Jazz Festival 1991, 1st Festival of Pop and Rock in your Language 1992, 1st Festival of Ska and Reggae Caracas 1993 and in 2001 the first edition of the Caracas Pop Festival with Ruben Blades and Maná before more than 30,000 spectators.
Their Internationalisation leads them to the Ska Festival at the New Music Cafe New York in 1992, 3rd Festival of Latin American Music 1993 and tours abroad USA 1993 and Mexico in 1994 and in 1995 given the successful first visit to Puerto Rico, more shows in New York (Palladium) and Los Angeles (SIR Theater, Hollywood)
In 1996 they travel for the first time to Europe for concerts in Madrid, Barcelona and Berlin. In the same year back twice to Puerto Rico and participate in another major festival at the Universal Amphitheater in Los Angeles and 1998 there are invited to Europe for a tour with 21 concerts that will take seven countries (Spain, France, England, Italy , Germany, Switzerland and the Czech Republic) and in Latin America they continued to expand in Mexico being mounted on the stage of the Festival the Chameleon 98, and visiting Colombia and Panama.
Recently, they released their hit song “ Los que se quedan, Los que se van” ("Those who remain, those who stay") dedicated to the growing Venezuelan diaspora, and they will end the celebration of their 30 years of career with "10th EuroTour - July / 2016" Spain, France, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Germany among others. To then start their USA – CANADATour 2016-2017 where they will be performing in the main cities of USA and Canada.
