Event description

Description

Presented by the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA)

This one-day workshop is designed for individuals who are currently engaged in food or beverage production, including commercial kitchens. Participants are expected to bring a list of products that they produce and a list of product ingredients, including the packaging materials.

You will work closely with a food safety advisor to develop a Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) plan specific to your facility. Participants will be provided with important background information and will then be guided through the process of completing necessary paperwork relevant to their products.

Participants should be very knowledgeable about the product(s) and manufacturing processes at their facility. Each participant will be provided with a binder to work through.

Please bring to the workshop the following materials:

  • Blueprint or facility layout of your plant/kitchen/production area if available
  • A list of the products that you produce/manufacture and a list of the product ingredients (including the packaging materials)
  • If able, bring your laptop

Lunch is not provided. Please bring a lunch as the schedule will not allow for time to leaving the training site.
