Event description

Description

As a community, people living with Type 1 Diabetes face disproportionate rates of mental health concerns due to the relentless burden of managing this often stigmatized condition.

In recognition, JDRF BC & Yukon is pleased to announce our signature free community event, taking place in the Lower Mainland as part of National Diabetes Awareness Month this November.

Diabetes Distress: A Community Conversation, Presented by The Mary Cleaver Group

Our community event features a key note speech from Dr. Tricia Tang, a psychologist and UBC researcher who specializes in Diabetes Distress, a unique mental health concern facing our community. Joined by local experts Dr. Tang will lead a conversation about the issue, sharing strategies that help, and ways you can access support.

Join us in Richmond for this free event to network with other T1Ds and learn more about addressing this often overlooked complication of living with Type 1 Diabetes
