Event description

Description

Peabody Award-winning public radio talk show host Diane Rehm will discuss medical aid in dying from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 15, in the sanctuary at First Congregational Church of Falmouth on the Village Green.
Rehm, in town to shoot scenes for the upcoming feature-length documentary film "When My Time Comes," has become an activist in the growing right-to-die movement since the death of her husband. Because medical aid in dying was not an option where he lived, John Rehm refused food and water to end his suffering from Parkinson’s disease, beginning Diane’s journey to free others from similar torment at the end of their lives.
The presentation is the
January program of the monthly death education class. Because the sessions will be filmed, on-time arrival is essential. Admission to the sanctuary will begin at 7 p.m. and doors will close promptly at 7:30 p.m. No late arrivals.
