Description

An introductory workshop by BusBoard Prototype Systems.
Ages: 10 to Adult
Prerequisite: Attended the Electronics Basic Course, or already possess a good understanding of resistors, capacitors, and transistors.

This workshop will explore digital electronics and integrated circuits. This is a hands-on workshop where you will be using all the components discussed to build working circuits. All required materials and components will be provided to borrow for the workshop, with the option of purchasing for $10 should you wish to keep them after.


YOU WILL LEARN:
  • how to use a breadboard
  • introduction to integrated circuit (I.C.'s)
  • make a blinky light circuit with an I.C.
  • gates and digital logic
  • make an I.C. LED Chaser circuit
  • how diodes work
  • make a traffic light and Cylon eye back and forth flasher
  • using a transistor to light more LEDs
  • using relays with digital circuits
