Event description

Description

Business is changing. You can no longer afford manual, paper-based processes – it’s time to transform your information. So how do you ensure the success of your digital transformation? Success starts with transforming your manual processes to digital processes that give your users the access and agility they need, while ensuring your organization meets their obligations. End result? Substantial savings in your information management costs and improved productivity in your organization.

Why are some industries struggling to embrace digital transformation? What are the key challenges facing organizations today? Integra Partners Ltd has put together a quarterly seminar series to address key questions around digital transformation. Led by industry experts, each seminar will bring together guests from a broad range of industries for the opportunity to network and share learnings.

Seminar 3 – Empowering Digital Transformation: Mastering Digital as a Second Language

Presented by Mastering Digital Partners – a JMW/Digital Think Joint Venture

Wednesday, November 14, 2018 from 7:00 - 9:00 am

Dan Spiwack and Yvonne Donohoe explore what it means to Master Digital as a Second Language and how appreciating this language will give you a way to become effective in that arena.

Key topics:

  • Five key domains of digital strategy

  • Key arenas of digital technology innovation (AI, IoT, virtual reality, machine learning, blockchain, data analytics and security)

  • Key initial tools for developing an environment that fosters collaboration

  • Three key tips for moving forward on this journey

The impact of digital in the world of business isn’t just a trend or a passing phenomenon. It isn’t simply the latest hot topic for management books and gurus. It isn’t one more management issue to be addressed with tweaks in your strategy or execution planning.

Digital is a new world. That world may represent the most fundamental change in how business is conducted since the industrial revolution. Previously inconceivable accomplishments are becoming reality; existing “givens” in the conduct of business are getting fundamentally disrupted and made obsolete. We firmly believe the extraordinary value and disruption of digital will be experienced in business for decades to come.

Mastering digital means entering fully into that new world. How do you productively enter into a new world? With eyes wide open and listening keenly, you learn the language of that world. And we mean language in the broadest sense – the actual vocabulary used in the language, the context that language creates, the mindsets and culture that develop as phenomena inextricably linked with the development of the language, and all of the actions and behaviors that emerge as a product of all of those elements of the new world.

To master the world of digital is to master a new, second language for all of us. Welcome to this new world.
