Event description

Description

Disability Employment Awareness Month (DEAM) is an annual awareness campaign that takes place each October. The purpose of DEAM is to promote employment inclusion for people with disabilities and celebrate the many and varied contributions of workers with disabilities.

Last year, the Government of Alberta issued a formal proclamation of October as Disability Employment Awareness Month. This year, the Edmonton Pan Disability Connection is hosting an event at Edmonton's City Hall to help kick off DEAM.

The Kick off event will consist of:

  • key note and guest speakers

  • success stories on inclusion in the workplace

  • Exhibitor booths showcasing resources and employment inclusion

This event is FREE for guests/attendees.

Come get involved in promoting and supporting a more inclusive Edmonton!
