Event description

Description

Committing an entire day to mindfulness is a wonderful opportunity to deepen practice and offer yourself some calm and joy away from the rush of daily life. The day will include a variety of mindful activities, to demonstrate how you can integrate mindfulness into your life and to enjoy the peace and connection of a longer period of practice. The day will be in silence except for the facilitators who will guide the practices and the last hour of the day which will be an opportunity to share your practice and discuss mindfulness in education with others.

Practices will include:

  • Sitting practice
  • Mindful Movement
  • Body Scan
  • Mindful Walking
  • Mindful Eating

The event is open to everyone interested in bringing mindfulness to education - educators, parents, professionals, students and others. Come experience the power of community while practicing mindfulness together. Retreat will start promptly at 10 am. Please arrive at least 15 min early to settle in. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat, blanket, a mindful lunch, a thermos and/or reusable water bottle and anything else you need to be comfortable. Hot water and tea will be provided.
