Discover *Paediatric* Scoliosis | Yukon 2026
Overview
Attention all paediatric healthcare professionals of the Yukon!
Physiotherapists, Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Kinesiologists, & Occupational Therapists...
We’re excited to be coming to Whitehorse to share knowledge about scoliosis.
This custom-designed workshop will focus on PAEDIATRIC scoliosis.
This full-day workshop will be taught by Physiotherapists Andrea Mendoza and Madison Williams, both of whom are certified in The Schroth Method and Scientific Exercise Approach to Scoliosis (S.E.A.S.) with years of experience treating many kiddos from ages 0-18.
This particularly unique workshop combines aspects of The ScoliClinic's signature Discover Scoliosis Series focusing on Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis, then dives into the unique challenges of other paediatric curvatures of the congenital, neuromuscular, and syndromic types.
Hosted by our friends at Whitehorse's Child Development Centre we'll focus on exploring scoliosis theory, empowering you with effective screening skills, deepening your understanding of gold-standard treatments - AND, unique to this full-day event, providing education & exercises to bring straight to your patients.

Highlights:
🔹Learn high-level Schroth concepts that enhance pediatric care
🔹Integrate principles into play-based and hands-on treatment
🔹Modify approaches for children with special needs
🔵 Part 5: Practical Treatment Skills

"I have been working as a physiotherapist for nearly a decade and have encountered many patients with scoliosis over the years...I wish I had been able to take this course years ago to have better equipped myself to manage those patients in a more effective way. Serendipitously, my very first new assessment the day after the second part of the course was a patient with symptomatic scoliosis. I felt extremely satisfied knowing that I was able to treat her with more confidence than I ever had prior with this type of patient, and I'm sure my patient appreciated knowing that I had very recently improved my knowledge of her condition."
