About this event
Calling all Humber students!
• Do you want to develop leadership and transferrable skills with an organization that is connected to 60,000 employers?
• Would you like to collaborate with staff at the Ontario Chamber Of Commerce and become our partner?
The Ontario Chamber of Commerce is seeking students to be Campus Ambassadors to promote their Discover Ability Network program.
The Discover Ability Network is a free online job-matching platform from the Ontario Chamber of Commerce that connects job seekers with disabilities to employers looking to hire from the disability talent pool. Over 1,300 employers in a variety of industries have used the Discover Ability Network to post jobs.
Numerous students on campus have lived experience with a disability (learning disabilities, mental health, physical etc.). The Discover Ability Network is a tool that enhances the effectiveness of the student or graduate’s job search, while also providing access to tools, resources and training that will support employment pursuits.
Student Ambassadors will promote the Discover Ability Network through posts on various social media platforms, and on campus to the student body through speaking at campus events or on Humber media (Humber Radio, Ignite events etc.). Ambassadors will receive a Co-curricular Record.
