Event Information
About this Event
The Family Education & Support Centre, on behalf of the Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows, Katzie Local Immigration Partnership (LIP), is hosting a Community Forum on Supporting Newcomers.
The event will take place March 16, 10 am - 12 pm, via Zoom.
Please register by March 5 to receive the Zoom link and additional information.
With funding provided by IRCC, the Social Planning and Research Council of BC (SPARC BC) has been contracted to conduct research on the experiences and needs of newcomers in Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows, and Katzie.
We invite you to come hear and reflect on the key findings of this research and to join others in the community to discuss opportunities for action!
Your input will help shape the priorities of the Local Immigration Partnership over the next few years.
Please join us at this interactive forum to explore:
- What we’ve learned about the experiences and needs of newcomers in the community
- What we’ve heard from newcomers and service providers
- Key community strengths and opportunities
- Potential roles for employers, schools, community organizations, and more
- Short and long-term ideas for action
Please help us spread the word and share this event widely with anyone who you think may be interested.
Thank you so much for your interest. We hope you can join us!
