Description

Discover the temperate rainforest with your family! Enjoy stories, nature crafts, and forest walks with interactive and sensory activities.

Discovery Days programs are monthly classes for a parent or caregiver and their children who are ages 3-8. Families register for all sessions in a series.

Please pay for each child you register. Adults attend for free.

Growing Green: April 18th, 1-3 pm

Why is the colour green so important? Learn about the superpowers of leaves! Listen to trees and discover how they move water and food.

Super Sniffers: May 9th, 1-3 pm

Many animals have an acute sense of smell that helps them find their prey or sniff out danger. What can you smell in the forest? What can animals smell? Go on a sensory excursion in the forest!

Growing Up in the Trees: June 6th, 1-3 pm

What’s up in the temperate rainforest? Epiphytes! These plants grow on other plants. How do they survive, and what’s useful about growing on another plant, anyway?
