About this event
Startups, new ventures and SMEs in any sector, location or stage are welcome pitch a plan. Those looking to commercialize novel agricultural, artificiaI intelligence, biotech, energy, and medical systems are the most common, but all those interested in developing new solutions and markets are welcome.
You'll have 10 minutes to pitch virtually and take questions, and will receive a video recording and evaluation of your pitch. A subset of investment ready teams will be invited to pitch in person during a 20 minute slot at Edmonton Global's new location on the 22nd floor at Telus House in Edmonton.
A summary of your business plan is needed at least a week before the event, and will be shared with our advisors.
Presenters are invited to pitch a plan and then take questions from a panel of about 20-30 financial, legal, industry, investment, marketing and business management experts who provide free advice and may suggest contacts and follow-up meetings.
Early stage ventures, start-ups and SMEs present plans in turn and are given tailored advice on how to scale their plans and reach new markets.

“you did an admirable job of putting this together. From the quality of the participants/viewers to the administration of the process and the follow-up, I'm impressed. I have two meetings as a direct result of my presentation. Thanks for including me, and for inviting me to the next one; I fully intend to present at the next meeting.”- KH

Fine print:
We want to keep our events free. Tell us if you can't make it in to pitch, unjustified last minute cancellations and no-shows by presenters are subject to a charge of $20 as this prevents other teams from pitching and can waste the valuable time of our advisors.
For clarity, DiscoveryLab does not recommend advisors or investors, but can make introductions. Each person and company has the responsibility of obtaining legal advice and performing due diligence before signing contracts or taking investments.
