About this event
Dear Friends, Family & Loved Ones,
If you're interested in learning about why we need to increase diversity in medicine and how we can do so, you are invited to join the Peer Medical Foundation to learn about the challenges faced by students with disabilities, what current and future healthcare providers can do to address this, and about the unique ways medicine can push for inclusive education.
We are also happy to host Guest Speaker, Jerusha Mather, a PhD student at Victoria University investigating strength training and non - invasive brain stimulation. Her research was funded by the Cerebral Palsy Alliance. She is a recipient of the Bridge Create Change Award and the prestigious L'Oréal UNESCO Women in Science mentee program. She is a poet who recently published her poetry collection "Burnt Bones and Beautiful Butterflies". Register now to listen to her story, work and come support her in advocating for increased diversity in medicine!
Date and time: Friday, February 18 from 7:30 to 9:00 PM EST
Please register to receive the Zoom meeting information!
Truly,
