Description

9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

ICTC (Information and Communications Technology Council) will provide students with hands-on, minds-on interactive learning workshop in the form of cyber defence competitions where students will learn about the cyber security threats we are facing and the skills needed to safeguard our privacy and protect the integrity of Canadian companies and governments directly by learning in real-time the skills necessary to secure a network in a fun and interactive way.

11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (lunch included in program)

After lunch will be greetings from special guest Noah Aiken-Klar: The Director of Youth Social Impact at RBC.

Noah leads a team that brings our purpose to life through RBC Future Launch, making strategic investments in charitable programs that help young people gain skills, grow their networks, and get practical work experience and support for mental wellbeing.

12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Canada Learning Code is leading a 2 hour workshop with a coding program called A-Frame which allows users to create virtual reality projects! A-Frame is a program that is based off of HTML, so it is a great introductory piece for learners.
