Event description

Description

Hosted by the Community Partnership Network in partnership with the Francophone Society of Victoria and the B.C. Francophone Immigration Program - this event features DiverCity Victoria, a video recently produced by Team Bellatonia as part of a Leadership Victoria project.

This community project video was designed to enhance understanding of diversity and promote inclusiveness in our community. The video shares the personal stories of individuals from the immigrant/refugee, transgender, Aboriginal and homeless communities. A panel dicussion with participants from the video will follow and engage CPN members to explore ways we can address our biases and promote a more diverse and inclusive society.

"The DiverCity Victoria video may not change the world, but we hope that it will provide food for thought for those who see it, whether they agree with it or not. Perhaps the video will instigate discussion or a second thought when someone encounters a person they don’t know or don’t understand….” Leadership Victoria Project Team Bellatonia
