Description

The FCJ Refugee centre is planning the Diverse Residents one Community Festival, a great event that will raise positive awareness of the experiences of diverse newcomer populations while celebrating the talent and contributions of newcomers to Canadian society.

The initiative will engage 150 participants. Get inspired and connect with others. You are welcome to sign up and make new friends!

It will take place at Wychwood Barns, 601 Christie Street in Toronto, ON.

On October 5th, 2017 , from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm.

Thereare 2 ways of partiicpation:

1) Just come and enjoy music, arts, food and meet new people

2) Also if you are a crafter The Diverse Residents one Community Festival will be a good opportunity for newcomers who are independent crafting entrepreneurs. We encourage you to bring your work for display and /or sale.During the celebration we will accommodate tables and chairs for vendors who will have the opportunity to show case your art/craft skills. If you are interested in have a display table please e-mail us before September 30th, 2017 to Varka varka@fcjrefugeecentre.org with your name and contact number so we can provide you more details on how to get involved.

FCJ Refugee Centre is a non profit organization.We provide a variety of integration and settlement services that help refugees and newcomers become adjusted to life in Canada: like providing legal information; assistance in pursuing training and education; referrals to community programs that benefit refugees and immigrants; interpretation and translation services; programs on Canadian culture and life; and educational workshops to front-line workers as well as directly to refugee claimants.
