The Wood Shop Sessions "Build your own Trunk"
In one 8-hour day, you will construct from start to finish, your own trunk with flip-up lid.
We will help you build your project from start to finish using pieces that have been prepared for you according to your preferences and submitted design.
* Upon registering we will work with you to plan what you would like to build, choosing a style, size, and finishing preference!
With an expert carpenter on hand, learn how to use tools such as a finishing nailer, cordless drill and screw gun, pipe clamps, belt sander, orbital sander, and numerous other hand tools. No experience required!
Gain hands-on knowledge about wood species and woodworking techniques while getting the satisfaction of making your own piece of furniture
Learn about upcycling techniques and get tips on other ways you can integrate the ethics of reuse into your life
Walk out the door with your very own custom-built surface, or have us deliver it later in the same week.
Material Fees & Additional Costs: $160.00 + Taxes & Material Fees
Wood Shop will supply of the materials you will need to complete your project.
We supply the upcycled material for construction. Cost for material would typically range from $30-$60, depending on the size of the storage trunk. An average trunk measuring 36” x 16” x 16” high would cost $45 in material and hardware.
A material fee's invoice will be emailed to you before the Shop Class date, payment is required upon completion of the project. Payment options include, cash, cheque or credit card.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
We have ample free parking outside of the Shop. The location is with in walking distance of the Main St. Skytrain Station and bus routes.
Is my registration/ticket transferrable or refundable?
Transfer of Ticket : We want to make your experience with our Shop Class sessions a positive one, so we allow transfers of Shop Class tickets to other attendees. Because our sessions are based on your specific designs we allow transfer and the submission of a new attendee and design one week prior to the Shop Class Session. Should you wish to transfer your ticket to another attendee outside of that time frame the design will have to remain the same as previously submitted. Should this not be ideal for you, you may transfer your ticket to another Shop Class Session date or request a refund.
Refund of Ticket: Refunds will not be allowed with in a one week time frame of the Shop Class Session date, but you may transfer it to another Session date.
