Are you interested in gardening but have limited outdoor space? Do you want an easy to care for set up?
Are you interested in gardening but need an easy to care for set up? Do you have limited space? Join 10C Shared Space and City of Guelph’s Healthy Landscapes program to learn how to build and maintain a self-watering container garden.
This workshop is ideal for:

Participants interested in water efficient gardens

Participants with an interest in year-round gardening

Participants interested in DIY container gardens

Those with an interest in indoor & outdoor gardening

Residents with large windows, balcony or patio space

Anyone wanting to grow vegetables or pollinator gardens

Those wanting to socialize with those interested in urban gardening
What you will learn:

How to build a container garden

Types of container gardens

Benefits of container gardens (e.g. water efficiency, health)

What plants do best in a container & what conditions they need
What we provide:

A fun environment for learning

Demonstration project. The group can also set up times for team-builds or tool sharing if desired at the time of the workshop, as some of us are handier than others!

March 30th Seedy Saturday, Dublin St. United Church, 68 Suffolk St W 10am - 4pm Demonstration Workshop 1-2pm
May 11th 10C Shared Space, 42 Carden St. from 9am - 1pm Hands-On Build Workshop 11am-1pm
May 25th Water Services Open House, 29 Waterworks Place off York Road from 9am - 2pm Demonstration Workhop 10-11am
June 23 Local Food Fest, Ignatius Jesuit Centre from 11am-4pm Demonstration Workshops at 12pm, 1pm and 2pm
September 29 Community Garden Festival, Harcourt United Church, Demonstration Workshop 12-1pm
