Event description

Description

Relax to the sound of local musicians while enjoying freshly-made food and beverage delights at The Britannia Coffeehouse and Beachconers. Drop by on your visits to the Ottawa River and Mud Lake, or as a ‘reward-and-rest’ stop on your walking or cross-country skiing route. Third Sunday afternoons of each month, plus additional Sundays when musicians volunteer. Starting at 1:00 pm at the Britannia Coffeehouse and Beachconers, 273 Britannia Rd. No cover charge. Vegan and decaf options available.

On March 10: Don Bray. Don has been playing guitar and writing songs longer than most of us have been alive. He has been influenced by Bruce Cockburn, Jeff Beck, Leo Kottke, the Beatles, Joni Mitchell, and James Taylor. These days you’ll find him playing his songs on guitar, hollowneck lap slide and mandolin. “A keen observer of the human condition, with sensitivity and wit. A brilliant songwriter... poetry married to an unsurpassed guitar style... lyrics clear as water," (according to Juno award winner, David Francey.)

Up next Roy van Hooydonk on March 17, then Greg Kelley on April 7.
