Double Everesting to Fight Mental Illness
Event Information
Description
What's bigger and crazier than just completing a single Everest (8,848m of elevation) cycling challenge? Completing a double Everest! Well, that's just what Corey is going to be doing on Mt Seymour, starting in the early morning hours of August 19. He's successfully completed two Everest cycling challenges in the past, and this time he's doubling his efforts, all in support of fighting mental illness, which is something he has struggled with throughout his life.
Sign-up, challenge yourself and show support for Corey; whether you climb once, or climb multiple times, you'll be helping put an end to the stigma around mental illness, and showing support to those who are fighting mental illnesses.
Don't want to ride? You can still get involved! Volunteers are needed for the event; people to help organize riders, people to help with mechanical issues, and even people to cheer on riders who are there challenging themselves on the climbs.
This event is a fundraiser, and all monies raised will be donated to the Kettle Society. http://www.thekettle.ca/
